FAQ

Q: Where do I get the API keys for the data collector and the connector?

A: If you have not contacted us and subscribed to Eyer already, please visit our website at https://eyer.ai . If you are subscribed already and can not find your keys, please create a ticket on our support site.

Q: Do you provide trials?

A: We sure do! Please visit our Discord server, “wave” hello and write that you want a trial.

Q: How secure is the Eyer data collector for Boomi Atoms?

A: Please see https://antteam.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EKB/pages/69435466

Q: How will the Eyer connector / process instrumentation impact my Boomi licenses?

A: The Eyer connector will require 1 license (it will use the same connection if you deploy it in multiple processes). If you also monitor process executions / latency, you will need 1 license for the HTTP connector to transmit the latency data (same connection is re-used across all processes).

Q: What is the performance impact of your data collector for Boomi?

A: It is very low, we promise you! But if you want to read more about it, please see https://antteam.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EKB/pages/35028993

Q: Can I visualize the metrics?

A: Yes we provide a Grafana integration, please see https://antteam.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EKB/pages/63242252

Q: Can I run Telegraf manually in test mode before deploying it as a service?

A: Yes you can! Open a cmd or Powershell window and navigate to the Telegraf directory. Use “telegraf.exe --config <config file path + name> --test”

Q: My Telegraf agent(s) get a 500 code, what do I do?

A: please submit a ticket

Q: I am not receiving any anomaly alerts, why?

A: Eyer needs at least 1 week of uninterrupted data before the anomaly detection is automatically enabled. If you already have >1 week of data, another option can simply be that there have not been any situations that trigger an alert.

Q: I want to learn more about your ML algorithms, do you have any information on this?

A: Yes we do! See https://antteam.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EKB/pages/9076743 for more information

Q: Can I collect Atom / Molecule metrics without installing any agents directly on the host? For instance, monitor a Docker Atom / Molecule?

A: Yes you can. You can host the metric collection agent remotely, please see the Boomi - data collector install

Q: What Boomi Atom metrics do you monitor?

A: You can find this information in the following article https://antteam.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EKB/pages/47153153

Q: The polling interval set in the Telegraf agent is too high for my setup, can I lower these values?

A: In short yes, but be aware that lowering the sampling interval will produce datasets with lower resolutions, that will also impact the datasets used for the Eyer machine learning. Short lived spikes in metrics might not be captured in the aggregated data when the sampling interval is lowered. Please the the https://antteam.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EKB/pages/34275359 for more information.

Q: My Eyer - Partner Connector is not able to retrieve any data / not able to connect

A: You can manually verify the connection / authentication by using a program like Postman, and add your authentication token in the header (Authorization). The query (GET) will then look something like https://boomi.eyer.ai/api/anomalies?to=2024-02-20T11:00:00Z (replace the date with current date)

Q: Where should I put my agent authentication key?

A: Your agent authentication key should be put in the Telegraf config file that was provided by Eyer, in the [[outputs.http]]/[[outputs.http.headers]]/authenticate section.

Q: My data collector does not receive any JMX data

A: Please make sure that all data collector components are running, see the https://antteam.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/EKB/pages/30015491 for information on how to verify

Q: How can I manually verify my Eyer - Partner Connector authentication key?

A: Please see above question on “My Eyer - Partner Connector is not able to retrieve any data / not able to connect”

Q: Are there any different monitoring capabilities on Atoms vs Molecules?

A: Currently no

Q: I have questions that are not answered here

A: Please submit a ticket or visit our Discord server and let us help you there!
