The measured performance impact from the Telegraf / Jolokia agent data collector is very low, and even lower when the Telegraf / Jolokia are installed in an agentless configurationfor lowest possible performance impact we advise that you install the data collector on a dedicated (non-Atom) host.

Bullet 1 and 3 is more or less locked down from Eyer (bullet 3 is based on Boomis recommended metrics) and what we support in the current version (can change with versions), and the metrics selected are ensuring the lowest performance impact possible. But number 2 is possible to tune by the customer within certain limits by the customer (see Adjust the Telegraf sampling interval )
